Great food! Best bbq around.
Are here since I was a kid. Great place for a meal that isn't too expensive. Could us a little cleaner atmosphere. A little bit of updating.
Food was good, but the place could use some cleaning, prices were really good.
My two friends and I rode from Roanoke Va to Mount Airy for our motorcycle ride and decided to stop here. The first thing I noticed were the great smiles and welcoming attitude all the employees had. We caught them at a slow time and instead of just standing around they were all working either washing the front windows, or making repairs out in the parking lot, etc.
The burgers and fries I had were good but the lemonade, now that was very good! My friends said their hotdogs and other food were good as well.
We sat at out booth and they brought our food to us and again with excellent work attitudes (smiles, asking if everything was ok, etc). The bathrooms were a little small and I think they could use some colors, paintings, pictures or something on the front wall (behind the counter above the menu) when you first walk in to make it a little more inviting but otherwise it was a good place to eat and we will definitely go there again! BTW, before we left the place was booming with customers and it looked to me like everyone was enjoying their food.
My first taste of NC BBQ. GREAT!!! You can't get this above Mason-Dixon line. The staff was very helpful. The owner spend more than my share of time with me talking about BBQ. If you are passing through stop. You are in for a treat.
