Great family restaurant. Not Greeek, despite the name. Down home American grub. They aren't kidding about CASH ONLY but There's an ATM with a $2 fee. Well worth it. Friendly, filling & delicious!
Nice restaurant, friendly wait staff. Nice and clean. Easy to see from road. Food was good. Locals like it.. New owners have it and they are not friendly. They are not use to local ways on being friendly. They will make or break this nice restaurant.
Me and my mom went to eat here recently. She got the open-faced roast beef sandwich and I got an order of french toast with bacon. She loved hers, but mine came out burned the first time. The second time it came out soggy. I asked for it to be taken off the bill and the waiter obliged, but then he gave us the whole meal for free since I didn't get to eat. I was ready to pay for hers and didn't mind but he said not to worry about it. I thought this was incredibly kind and I know no other restaurant would do that. We'll definitely be returning.
This restaurant was recommended by Gary @ Wolf Creek Farm (Ararat, VA) and I ate three consecutive dinner specials and three consecutive breakfasts ; which were all wonderful! Wed night was popcorn shrimp; Thurs was awesome Chicken Pot Pie and Friday was fried fish night. Obviously this is the place where the locals eat; it was always packed with people chatting with each other... it was funny observing the daily comings and goings of the local folks, while never feeling like an "outsider".
You get a good amount of food for the price. Their chicken and dumplins are delicious! It is dated though, and not always the cleanest. But not dirty enough to lose your appetite. Decent staff, decent food, decent price. I am giving it 4 stars mostly because I come here often and never received bad service.
I would recommend and stay at Wolf Creek Farm bed and breakfast again; and eat at Olympia Family Restaurant anytime I am in the Mt. Airy area again.
