We are making plans to make another trip to Mount Airy and stay at the Mayberry Motor Inn. We are so appreciative of the help that was given and we weren't even guests at the motel.
First off we did not actually stay at the motel but read the entire review. My husband and I were passing through the area on our way home from Asheville on the motorcycle. We were taking back roads and just wound up in Mount Airy. We decided to stay the night and catch the Andy Griffith Museum the next morning, I searched for a hotel in the area and found the Mayberry Motor Inn. Unbeknownst to us it was actually Mayberry Days and there wasn't a hotel room within a 30 minute drive of Mount Airy.
The lady working the desk ( I am sorry I didn't get your name) was very nice. She made suggestions of where to check for a room, directions to the hotel we found, brochures for several local points of interest, and showed us Aunt Bea's room while telling us interesting facts about items in the room and people that may be at the parade the next morning.
Great place to stay super clean rooms good location way better than the big box hotels. Staff are very friendly. Price is very reasonable We will definitely be back again.
This has been such a blessed and refreshing weekend. We celebrated our 26th Anniversary here and the Mayberry Motor Inn is fantastic. Clean room, beautiful environment, friendly people. All around wonderful place to visit.
Just stayed there this past Monday night! Just lovely! Vintage 1950's motel right on Rt. 52. Obviously has been lovingly card for and maintained. Absolutely, spotlessly clean, and welcoming. Pool and fantastic gazebo on the grounds. Will definitely stay there again and again!
This is our second stay here. We love it. It is a beautiful little place , Andy themed, which I love, and the people are so very nice. We came to Mayberry to stay here! Anyone would love it.
